HitaKangaroo in my 100 series landcruiser so had to make my first claim on AAMI.
I have to say they were totally committed to making the process easy for the client. Took all details over phone, made appointment for next day to take vehicle in. A representative rang later to confirm appointment (most unexpected). Went to Preston office, drive straight in, met by ameet and greet at the door, park vehicle in bay as directed. Immediate attention from an assessor, took no more than 10minutes then advised my lifthome would be available in a few minutes (it was 80 odd K home but thats no problem sir). Just had time for a quick coffee (free) and the limo arrives to drive me home. Advised that they will also transport me back to collect vehicle when finished. They rang later in the day to advise where the vehicle was to be fixed, its cost to them and when it would be ready. Advised they will ring next week to confirm pick up date. All in all a very customer oriented and pleasant operation. So good in fact that I would have to say that they have the best customer relations that I have EVER come across.
If the repairs are as good as the service I will be very happy.
Good service is so rare these days that I think they deserve praise for what I experienced.. I have 2 4wd's insured with them and never any suggestion that I would be asked to go away.

G'day Avro,
mate I can only report what happened. Up til that little hiccup they were fantastic, even covered my motorbike at the time which they advised me they don't normally do, as I had multi policies they let the bike in. One silly operator and they lost the lot. I'm glad you have had good experience with them, no one needs the crap that goes with a sticky insurance claim, unfortunately they wont see my money again.

I'd do the same Blue.... unfortunately it's likely the operator who maybe wasn't up to speed with the companies do's and don'ts, or maybe just being lazy, any number of things and like you said, they won't see your money again. They wouldn't see mine either in that circumstance!

Thanks mate..
I dunno why, but I found them to be very easy to deal with... who knows????..
They have said on several occasions this week that the repairs are covered by a Lifetime Warranty through AAMI... I guess there'll be limitations to it somewhere, but I'll be keeping a close eye it that's for sure. Mechanically it shouldn't be a problem, it was only panel damage. If they let me down at all Bruce, you'll read it here first!!!!!!
