2002 diesel auto jackaroo fuel tank questions

Submitted: Saturday, Sep 04, 2004 at 15:49

Jack fan

A Few Questions on the fuel tank
How much diesel does a 2002 auto jackaroo actually hold? I have only been able to ever put in 75 liters.
How much diesel is actually in the tank when the warning light stays on constantly.
How many Km's can i actually get out of a full tank.

Thx in advance

check the specifications chapter in the owners manual, about 85 in the tank i think..
Don't rely on the light, every one seems different - try running it lower and lower and noting the fill amount.

How many ks from a full tank - more than a half full one i'm tipping.... Sorry man just taking the piss, only you can answer that one - too many vehicle / driving variables.

Quite often the useable capacity varies significantly from the actual. Prevents sucking up all the gunk from the bottom of the tank.

Book says 85L from my recall (its down the shed now) but 75 has always been my limit on fills (which is why I don't panic if the light comes on).

I've put in 81 litres in a 2000 petrol Jackaroo. I had run the thing for a day while the gauge was at empty and the light on and then filled up at the end of the day.

The light seems to come on constantly on mine when the fill is going to be 70 litres or more. The gauge shows just about bone dry at that level too.

Mate says he gets 10/100 in his manual Jack, so if around this in yours just multiply what you put in by 10 - nice and easy. :)

The tank is definately 85 litres.

My light comes on at exactly 75 litres (+/- 0.5 litre)

A couple of times my wife has run it pretty low & it's taken 81-82 litres
