It has been a looong day.

Just arrived home after a 960km day from Peterborough Victoria to Peterborough S A...... 13 hours and that 100kmh limit in Vic really gets at one. Luckily I have the GPS running all the time to check my speed. Passed two speed traps in Vic. There was snow on the Grampians and southern Victoria was very wet.......better get some rest as a busy week lies ahead. I have to fit the winch, set up the battery isolator and build some sort of a storage compartment in the back of the GQ and fit the new tyres and rims before I set off for the Simpson on Sunday. Its a hard life.

Many thanks to all the forumites for their friendship and hospitality including Des Lexic and Elaine, Mr and Mrs Al, Big Kidz McDonalds, Member Eric, Bernie (Vic), John(Vic), Member Lucy(Ken) and Deirdre, Truckster, Member JohnR and Heather, Member Bonz and Rosemarie. It was good to catch up with all of you.

The GQ ran well with a heavy load and returned 13/100 in with head and side winds and blustery conditions.

Have seen enough of the Big Smoke for a while!!!!!!!!!!! Back to the bush!!!!!

Thanks Truckster but that(petrol tank) is what was supplied last time. There is too much stuffing around modifying lines, breathers etc. ARB will be supplying the RIGHT one(diesel tank) next time when I come down in October.

Sound like my old man - ever since he retired and started travelling he says he has never worked so hard in his life! And he is enjoying every minute of it!

Mate that pole had us stumped....But the SWMBO obeyed did some lateral thinking and came up with the answer....if the problem had been a snake we would all be dead LOL Somehow two of the sections were jammed together into one and it took some rough handling to fix. Now for the flag.................

Good on ya Willem, might as well, you most likely deserve it...and admit it, if you didn't have anything to do, you'd be bored!

They say y'can't keep a good man down Willem. You have got a busy week coming up, just wish I were there to lend a hand, but then again I reacon you will get it done faster by yourself - we'd spend too much time nagging. I was going to head through Peterborough but you wont be there now so we might shoot up nth from Yunta.

Thanks for that info on the Flinders/Gammon. The notes in ExOz trek notes are excellent We've pieced together a few drives in that area and then shoot up to Innaminka/Coongie then back down the bore track to Bollards/Cameron Corner then home via Bourke.

Safe drive in the Simpson & hope the wagon goes as expected.
