LSD Oil in normal Diff's

I just want to clarify the story on Diff Oils. I have just replaced the oil in both Diff's, and on advice from my local Castrol oil distributer and in the interest of keeping it simple, I have put LSD oil in both the LSD rear diff and the normal front Diff. I know I can't put normal diff oil in a LSD but is it OK to put LSD oil in a normal Diff. The distributer showed me in the castrol product book where they say their LSD oil is also suitable for normal Diff's. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

There is no problem putting LSD oil in a standard Final drive but as you say do not put standard oil in a LSD unit.
Many workshops only use LSD oil for all final drives.

LSD's require oil that does not contain that many Friction modifiers that the LSD "Clutches" or "Friction Packs" stop functioning.
You might say normal Diff oil is too slippery.
The LSD oil maintains Lubrication While still allowing The LSD action to work.
