Advice on fuel needed for Simpson crossing

Submitted: Friday, Mar 30, 2001 at 00:00

Garry Murphy

I plan a Simpson west to east crossing in May 2001 in a 2.6lt Mazda Bravo dual cab 4wd. I have fitted a 130lt replacement tank and calculated I will need 2 possibly 3 20lt jerry cans. Can anyone who has crossed in a similar vehicle give me feedback on fuel consumption. Thanks.
