Can anyone help keeping a deepcycle battery charged while running a 12v fridge for a two week period in the one location what solar panel can be used to keep the battery at its peak. thankyou les.

Les, first you must work out what amperage your fridge is drawing, eg. a 60 lt Engel running on freeze draws approximatly 5 amps, multiply this by by the voltage, ie, 12volts, this will give you the size panel you will require in watts = 60 watt panel, this will keep your deep cycle battery fully charged, providing that you are getting full sun.ŒIf you are running your fridge only as a fridge and not as a freezer you wont need such a big panel as the fridge will cycle on and off, hope this has been of some help, cheers, David.
