warn high mount winch maintenance

I took out one of the winch motor end cover bolts and it was rusty . My question is 1/ Do i take the end cover off myself and spray some RP7 in there or 2/ Do i just leave it .

here charges $50 for a winch service, if they snap bolts they have to bollox around fixing it :)
