Another 4WD Media Event

Now that I have everyone's attention, there was a report on "Statewide"(ABC TV) about 4WD's which was positive!
It rotated around the tourist businesses in Marree, Parachilna and Innaminka (principally hotels whose owners have extended and provided more accommodation and other facilities) benefitting from the trade which tourists in 4WD's bring to their towns.
Seems that those of us who travel in country and remote regions are very welcome.
Bullbars were not mentioned once, nor was there too much evidence of intimidation.

I guess that if you add up all the money that we who go walkabout spend on rigs, fuel, gear, including accessories camping stuff and fishing gear etc, accommodation, tyres permits and money to see attractions; we contribute a fair whack to the economy.
That's without mentioning the taxes that exist on everything.
Makes me feel all warm inside!

Yeah I saw that too...The pub owner at Marree is spending $1.5 million on new accommodation units. I normally camp in the bush so they can't rely on me for income.

Gee Camper, I knew that :-)

The atmosphere in the Innaminka Pub is really amiable and it must rate as the biggest promoter of COOPERS (beer) outside of the Brewery itself.

I wanna go again NOW!!!

All these places are just waaaay to far for pedestrians to walk to!!!!

So, Harold & his mates ( Ray Martin & channel 9 ) will just have to drive there, in a 4 x 4 LOL!!!!!

Priceless.....
