wind up torsion bars

Just wondering if i can wind up my torsion bars again as the new bar and winch have dropped the front of my courier. They've been tightened before to get a lift of 25mm but thats now gone. Can i tighten further to get back that 25mm.
And by the way, how are they tightened??

Thanks for any advice guys.

You can wind em up more but are better off going for aftermarket bars as the original bar will most likely keep sagging.Just fitted OME bars to my 4 Runner and the ride is much better(3"lift).You'll find a bolt head about halfway along your 4by under neath it at the back of the torsion bar, wind it in to get more lift

Just a thought......isn't the vehicle body supposed to be jacked up to reduce load on the bars before winding them up ?

yeah you'd have to be bloody strong to crank them up with the full weight of the vehicle loading up the bars..... if anything you'd probably just shear the bolt?

Winding up the bars wont up the spring rate, only the height, you need to change the T bars to cope with the extra load.

According to the latest newsletter from Alltrac in SA you will need a wheel alignment after adjustment to the bars.
