Clubs in or near Epping in Sydney

Submitted: Wednesday, Feb 02, 2005 at 11:07

Ken

I am looking for a family oriented type 4x4 club in or around the Epping area in Sydney. I have three young children and would like for them to have other children to enjoy the experiences with. Does anyone have any recommendations? Cheers, Ken.

Hi Ken:

I am a member of the Toyota Landcruiser Club. They meet near Bankstown once a month, and are very family oriented. Highlight is the kids Christmas party each year on their land down near Mittagong. They have two blocks of land south of Sydney and run quite a few trips in which kids attend. These are good. They also have a very good training program in a variety of areas, covering driving, camping, towing etc etc.

You might like to check them out at Their club website. Quite a few good clubs around so you won't have meny problems finding one that suits you. Enjoy.

G'day Ken,

We have four young kids and are members of Hornsby Ku-Ring-Gai 4wd club which is family orientated and meets second Tuesday of every month on Galston Gorge Rd, Hornsby Heights. Heaps of different trips, good vibe club.

Nissan Club of NSW in Queens Road 5 Dock. We were with them inbleepney when we lived there, and stuck with the Nissan club down here in Melbourne.

Great bunch of people.. Old, middle age, young etc.... They also now have their own property for members.

They have free driver training with membership, the works.

you can also look here for other clubs

One word of advice.
Go to more than 1 club meeting with each club, see the different people.. You may strike a bad or good night... You can also see the different amounts of members.

Good luck gettin on a trip with the yota club NSW.. thats why I didnt join them, and my ex's dad was trip leader with them at the time!

They have an online Forum now which makes getting on trips a lot easier than it was all those years ago. Trips go onto the net and you just sign on from there - don't even have to go to meetings. I haven't missed a trip since that was up. It is working well.

G'day Ken,

I've got 2 young kids too and have been looking for a club. We're in Castle Hill. Maybe we should start our own club :-)

I went to a meeting at Blue Mountains and wasn't overly impressed. Seemed OK, but as Trucky said, I may have got a bad night.

I tried to contact Hornsby, but they didn't return my calls. I'll try again. Let us know how you go and if you find a good one. We're still looking.

Cheers,

Jason.

Go to 4WD NSW Website where they list all clubs in NSW. I can recommend the All Wheel Drive Club that meets in Chatswood.
