Hano

Hi, where do I get an extended rotor in Perth? Is it a Repco question or an ARB or other specialist store? Thanks for your help guys, i will report back when I make the switch.

Check that the condensor is scewed down tight to the distributor base plate. If it is loose it will not be earthing properly and may be the cause of the miss that you are experiencing. Regards G.T.

GOB,
This will sound stupid but what the hell is an extended rotor? will it fit in my dizzy? And why lpg1, the rig is petrol only, is the extended rotor related to converted vehicles, sorry for ignorance. The rotor does have a slidey (technical I know) bit on it, should i drop some lube on it, and if so what do you use in the dizzy for lube, graphite?
Cheers,
Hano.

Member - Bradley replied:

depending on the make, some stock rotors have a screw holding the plate on, and you can elongate the hole slightly to reduce the gap, ideally the spark plug gap should be the biggest gap in the whole circuit.

Hi Bradley,
Mine has a slide that must rely on centrifical force to push it out, but its as stiff as a honeymooners, do you know what sort of lube if any you can use in this situation (and I mean in the distributor).

cheers,
