Litchfield National Park...Caravan Access

Submitted: Thursday, Feb 03, 2005 at 18:36

I have looked here at the info on Litchfield but I am curious if it can be seen using a conventional Caravan or is it best to leave the van at Adelaide River and just do some day trips?

Hi Rick

we camped at Wangi Caravan Park last year, took our 17ft poptop there no probs, the camp ground at Wangi Falls looked ok to. Plenty to do and see and easy access to most places of interest. You can also camp at Batchelor, there's a big 4 caravan park there.

cheers

Lyn

yep, the roads into the park are sealed, and it's really easy driving around, if you're planning on going to Buley Waterhole, get there early, the carpark is not large and it's extremely popular but well worth the visit.

We camped at Wangi falls, left the van there and did the day trip via the 4wd track to the Daly River pub via Blyth homestead etc. Started at 6am and arrived back at 7pm a rather long but very enjoyable day.
Go enjoy.

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.
