Yep I tried the ply divide, wasn't impressed. The extended section is not attached to the
fridge. It is attached via alum. angle screwed to 25mm spacer timber on the inside of the protective ply box that the
fridge sits in. A rubber seal is between the top of the
fridge and extended section. The lid of the
fridge is hindged/latched on top of the extended section. I dare say the compressor does run more, it doesn't really worry me as when out bush I turn the
fridge off each night. When at home the
fridge is in the shed running 24/7.
The control switch (underneath the panel) has as tiny little screw that you can adjust to decrease/increase the temperature. Ya need to do this a little bit at a time and leave overnight to see the difference and re adjust.
