Usually i check the paper filter by point it to bright light e.g. Sun and see if I can still see through it. If I can see through it, it mean filter still clean. But it is impossible to see through the foam filter. If we use 2 paper filter, air just need to pass though 2 paper layer.
Yes, foam filter can be serviced and can get cleaner air to engine. But does it really improve the air intake in our Diesel gq case ?
