GQ Flywheel update re post 21661

Drove to
Jamestown
this morning and the engineering
shop
advised that they doubted if machining the flywheel woukd do much good. Either put it back or get a new one. I opted for putting it back in as it had run for 40,000km before that without too much damage...just stuffed the thrust bearing a wee bit.
Tonight the GQ is mobile again and running sweetly. We will see how it performs on the Big Trip.
May put a new flywheel in when I get back or trade up to something else.
