HJ60 has diesel engine. 2H or later.
FJ60 has petrol engine as in your 2F.
Are you looking at turboing a 2H diesel or 2F petrol?

Mate I think it should be 2H not 2F. If it's the case you would have to ask yourself how many K's on the old motor and what sort of condition it's in.

Any 2H by now is getting a bit long in the tooth and would possibl;y need a re-build prior to turboing. Or pick up a reco motor and do a swap.

Wayne,
Spend a few extra bucks and go the 12HT(standard in the HJ62 etc), you will never get as much ticker out of your 2H and still retain engine longevity.
The 12HT motor will drop straight in with minimal fuss and you will be left wondering why it took you so long to do it.
Not to mention your joy as you pass all the turbo 2H's up the hill!!!!

cheers,
Marc.

Marc,
You posted the above answer to my friend Wayne. You mentioned that a 12HT would drop straight in with minimal fuss. Will the motor only bolt up to the 2H bellhousing and clutch assembly or does the gearbox and transfer also have to be changed??? My gearbox and transfer is still tough as new.

Thanks
Blackie

Blackie,
A 12HT will just drop straight in using the existing box/transfer case.
Have fun.

Marc.

Hi Wayne
Having owned a turbo 2h, i can tell you they dont go too well. aslong as your motor is in good condition, it will handle a turbo, but again, i would not be doing it that way....instead, i would be trying to get a wreck from pickles.com....maybe a hzj75 anddropping the donk and box in yours.
hat you do with the disc rear end and other spares, will pay the purchase price back.
