Hi Voxson, I've used it occasionally. Used it twice up Cape York and a few more times on weekend trips, pulled a few stumps out of my garden and use it to lift the camper section off my off-road trailer etc. I try not to get into situations that my only option is to winch but alas, it happens. The hand control works just fine. I have replaced the winch cable once because I kinked it but that has nothing to do with the winch's abilities, my own fault. By the way, cables are much cheaper (for any brand winch) from an industrial supplier rather than a 4x4 shop, up to 1/3 of the price for exactly the same winch cable. I now have 38 metres of cable on the drum.
