I put a pair of SAAS seats into my troopy, no major problems, and much more comfortable than the originals

Dave,
I'm thinking of doing the same thing.
Do the SAAS seats fit onto the 3/4 seat mounts?

Cruiser1, almost. For convenience I had a set of brackets fabricated that alow me to bolt the seats in from the side, (making removal much easier) they also allowed me to move the seats back a bit as the holes in the seats put it well forward.

The brackets are like two L shaped sections made of 25mm box with a 3-4mm flat section coming off them. The flat sections mount to the existing rails and to the seat. The two box sections go together inverted with a drilled and tapped hole in the ends for the side mounted bolt.

Oh for the ability to post diagrams.

Any way it's all legal because the rails were not moved.

I can probably organise a diagram for you if you like.

Thanks Dave,
Might look into that. Sounds like a fairly easy option.

Ptcrowe, I fitted a Volvo passenger seat in my 60 Series. The front bolt holes on the slides lined up. Just made a bracket out of a bit of angle for the rear. As someone said recently, Volvos have got to be good for something!!! Mal T.
