Just guessig, but I'd say that from january 2005, rims and tyres are covered under a different ADR. Such as ADR 23 - Passenger Car Tyres.

ADR 24 was deleted and replaced by ADR 42/04 which incidentally has no reference to the ridiculous 15mm rule.

If you email DOTARS, they will email the ADR. Or else, member message me with your email address and I'll forward it to you.

But I gather its still overriden by State regulations, so bottom line is to check with your State's Dept of Transport.

Common rules, are
Track cannot be more than 26mm wider than standard
Tyre diameter not greater than 15mm above the tallest tyre on the placard
Tyre Load Index but be equal or greater than the placard
Usually the Speed rating on the placard is overriden by state laws.
