Yardie Creek Cape Range National Park WA

Hi All, Yardie Creek in Cape Range National Park is open to the sea for the first time in in about 5 or 6 years. I saw it last Friday 27th of May, at high tide, and it was far too deep to cross. Probably even at low tide it would be a bit dodgy.

By the way...which side were you on? National park side or Ningaloo HS side?
Heading over there from Melb next week for a spell in the winter sun and was wondering how busy it was south on the homestead side of the creek?

Choco I was on the north side of Yardie Creek, National Park end, being local I dont go south of Yardie this time of the year, but I know from experience that places like Winderabandi, Lefroy North and South are very popular until October. Obviously because of Yardie Creek the only way to access these places is via Ningaloo Station road off the Exmouth - Minilya road.
I dont blame you wanting to leave Melbourne this time of the year, this particular area is the greenest I have seen it for quite a while, we have recieved good rain about a month ago with some follow up.
