Actually I remember being told something about them originally being called the 'Sow and Piglets' and the sow was the biggest one or an Island or something like that.

There may well be 12 of them but they might be spread way down the coast out of sight of the main group.

Lots of islands further down, "Mutton Bird Island" being the one that the Lock Ard rammed so maybe they have included some of these in the original 12.

Bruce I don't doubt that there may have once been 12 of them but ever since I was a little kid I can remember asking my parents where the other 3 are?

I have never seen a photo of all 12, would be interested to actually see one that showed all 12 but as I said above I think it was before our time.
