If you haven't got muddies some of the tracks are bloody near impossible to get up eg Rankins, Goanna, so you're a chance. We went down Goanna a couple of weeks ago in the wet, lots of slipping and sliding but just let it follow the ruts slowly.
We had a go at Rankins and couldn't get up. I didn't even have a go with A/T's. Watched a few blokes with swampers get up the bit we couldn't. Bumped into them later and they said it took them 3 hours to get right through and they had some serious machines.
If you turn left just after Nash's picnic/camp gound this will take you up to the power lines. Some good tracks around there.
If you're going this weekend and want some company, I'm half a chance at this stage and I'm sure we could find a few others.
Cheers,
Jim.

good to see you had commonsense enough to sit rankins out jimbo- was up there a couple of weeks ago and saw a group of @ 15 cars (not trucks) with a bunch clowns driving- these people were even dressed like they were on their way to a coctail lunch- somehow they got a forester with road slippers around the 1st corner at the top hard core section and of course then blocked the track for the next 30-40mins for those of us with capable rigs with serious
tyres, experience and recovery equipment- these people didn't even have a handheld radio between them- when we came across them they were using an 8 metre chain between a beaten up old jeep? to recover the forester back down the hill......... crazy stuff!
