Hi Dazza67, Save your money buddy till you have enough to buy a KIMBERLY it is exceptional using off road in my experiances, used to run a Cub Kakadoo Off road which was good but the Kimberly outshon it by a mile.The Kimberly is well made with no dust entry and well appointed and well sprung.

pay for the TAMBO and wait. we got the cooper with pretty much every option available, and still came in under $10,000.
awesome product, we went to all the shows, looked on the net, nothing compares for price and quality!

i towed my bushmate camper to capeyork at the end of the wet it was still raining huge wash outs and the rivers were over the bonnet and it didnt have a thing fall off it they are the strongest and most practical trailer i have ever had kimberly campers are over rated and over priced as i sold it to get an extra $12000 in my pocket bush mate campers start at around $7000

i think casuarina have about a two week wait. well thats how long we waited. you will get what you want for $10000. there worth a look dazza we are very happy with ours.we got a full slide out kichen (stainless) off road suspension,tregg coupling, hand brake which we found no one else done and heaps more

will have to agree with you lloyd1977. we went to all the shows, looked around at tambo,tru-blu,and nothing compares to the casuarina camper. i think there price starts at around $5500.

heard nothing but good reports. With the budget you have i have no doubts that you will get a top quality locally made value for money camper

We,ve just been through the great hunt for a CamperTrailer (spent around 7 months looking ). We had a design and style we wanted that was a bit different from the norm so it worked out a bit more expensive.
We decided to go with All Terrain campers in Sydney at Seven Hills, whilst the unit we are getting is a bit more than your budget , they do have Extremely good units with a lot of extras that are closer to your price, they may be worth a good look.

Another one we came across that was very good and was very good value for money was "The Complete Campsite" up near Gosford, They also had a very good unit and were slightly cheaper.

Both company's were very impressive with there customer support and very willing to help build/supply what we wanted while making suggestions on better ways to do things to improve the unit AND save us money. Couldn't praise either of them enough.

Be careful, because there are 2 manufacturerers in different states of tru Blu camper trailers. I don't know if they are both spelt the same, but if you are looking at the ones in Pillars Road, Bangholme in Vic ...... FORGET IT!

I bought one brand new & it was so badly built that I never used it, ended up in litigation & they took it back after nearly 12 months, still cost me a couple of grand though ....... expensive lesson!

While all this was going on I bought a Track Eagle, like chalk & cheese!

I own a Couper from Tambo - great unit although you have to be patient as they have a long wait.

Outback Campers in Frankston-Dandeong Rd have been around for a while and are also good.

Careful in this industry as a number of companies come and go. Recently Kis Campers, Oz Campers and Gumnut have gone leaving customers in the lurch. A mate knows owner of one of these mobs and he was astounded at how difficult it was to get reliable quality canvas work. Many try to enter market, most don't last too long.

If you are in Melb , have a look at Simon Heard Canvas in Shepparton.

I bought mine 2 years ago for $7500 for full offroad , 16ft Tent , awing , and a few other bits and pieces.

I know quite a few people with them and all happy.

Heard LOTS of good reports on Tambo , but , 10 month waiting . . . they aren't THAT good.
