Hello all,
Just wandering where ya--all,buy your fruit & veg west of the fruit fly station in south oz.Where heading to the Flinders in a couple of weeks, have brought stuff from
broken hill wollies before, only to have it taken at the inspection station.....about $100.00 worth (ouch).
Aparently signs get put up in woolworths warning of this senario....but they somehow manage to dissapear......:-).......

We have a Foodland
Supermarket here in
Peterborough. Has everything you would need. Or you could buy at
IGA Supermarket in
Orroroo. After that things get a bit thin as
Hawker does not have real flash shopping facilities.
Leigh Creek has a Foodland as
well, but that, once again lies on the west side of the Flinders.

Thanks Willem,Hit the nail on the head with
Orroroo,Knew that
Hawker would possibly not have had all of what we needed, but is a good town just the same.....

Hi DRM
the way you are going there is no checkpoint. Maybe stock up in
Broken Hill. Only other choice I think is
Tibooburra.

Went that way late last year from
Brisbane.
Tibboburra reasonable as small town.
No check point on the Stezlecki track.
If you are coming off the Stezlecki via the Mt Hope road to
Arkaroola, remember it is only a resort at
Arkaroola with not very much but fuel. Have to head to
Blinman or western flinders or south to
Hawker for supplies.

Oops, that should be Mt Hopeless, as it was discovered by the early
explorers trying to head north, hopeless country any further north.
