3lt patrol efi

just wondering if anyone has fitted a fuel injected rb30 out off a skyline or vl commodore engine in place of the carby model in a gq and was there any trouble and is it worth it thanks for any answers

I looked into it - and then decided against it due to cost.

Other things that I found helped:

Extractors and 2.5" exhaust.
Get the dizzy checked - especially the vacuum advance - made a huge difference once that was fixed
Good air filter - I use a K&N cleanable filter
Hiclone - seemed to boost power - but not much effect on economy - might be the way I drive :)
Premium Unleaded Fuel

try www.performance ignition.com.au I changed the rotor in my gq and altered the tapit settings appears to have removed stutter on accelerating and slight improvement in economy so i am going to get tapits opened slightly more .this is there recomend if running on dual fuel.the rotor they supply is a nissan rotor but extended to close the gap steve

thank you all for your replys been all very helpfull have tried a few things and let you know how it went.im a mechanic in a tyre fitting buiseness and have spoken to a few ppl about a conversion to efi i get some ppl telling me heaps hard work and expensive them on the week end a guy come up to me to ask about a problem he was having with his patrol gearbox so the first thing i did was give him this url i only found this site 1 week ago and cant seem to get of anyway he said he fitted a 3lt turbo to his gq had a skyline that was wrecked did most things him self but he found a guy to wire up the puter about an hour he said and thinks its the best thing he ever done to it anyway thanks all once again
