I ended up putting Bendix 4x4 on the front and genuine pads on the rear... I changed the front rotors over too but didn't particularly worry about brands as they will all wear out with mud etc through them... Easy job to change and overall it only cost a couple hundred dollars so if I have to do it again one day it won't kill me!

As the car has a bit of a lift on it I also adjusted the load sensor for the rear brakes out a bit to compensate for the lift...

If you want to spend a little more, ask around the wreckers for a set of disc, calliper and backing plate out of the 93 or later 80, these bolt straight on, and put a pair of 100 series front pads in them....you wont believe the difference, and you can still run 15 inch wheels.
