I had one on LPG with over 250,000km on it. Only problem I had was when I installed a snorkel, LPG and snorkels don't mix easily.
If you do get the LPG put on have them install a seperate O2 sensor in the exhaust manifold and don't let them use the OEM O2 sensor. After the gas is on take the truck to a Toy dealer and have them run a check of the OEM O2 sensor.

When you install a snorkel with gas if its a cheapo conversion you must run a pressure balance tube from converter to air cleaner box.

The other solution to LPG systems iwith snorkels is dump the vapour vacuum system and go for a Gas Research throttle body. Does not affect perfomance or economy on petrol and increases performance on LPG and 90% time economy as well. Also stops the slightly dirty air filter increasing your gas usage. Hope this helps.

1FZ-FE engine will do fine on LPG, IF YOU DO THE MAINTENANCE PROPERLY.

I guess from the above your guess how I know? Dealer & 'autherised repair centre' services failed to check & adjust the valve clearances at 40K increments. Cost me $1700 because of their incompetence.

Now have over 280km, and some mods without further issue.
