I've had a 3.0 TD since the day they were released. HAve done about 15,000KM.
Before I started to load it up I was getting about 9 lt per 100KM on highway and 9.5 to 10 on mixed driving.
Since loading up with canopy, drawer unit,
recovery gear, water container,
fridge, bullbar etc, I seem to be getting 10.5 to 11 per 100KM. When towing the camper trailer (1,400KG fully loaded) it seems to be 11 to 12.
But pushing over 100ks seems to make a big difference. Using the instantaneous fuel usage reading on the trip computer (don't know how acurate it is), there is a big difference between cruising at 95 to 100 and 110 to 115. When towing, I now cruise around 90 to 95 most of the time.
