Ive heard of lots of them with problems, from the adjusters seizing, to blowing seals...

Jump on a few hack 4b sites and people admit they are throw away items, and most now use cheaper shocks, like Bilsteins etc..

Jason O in our club has a set of 9's, they all blew on him on a trip to the cape, they replaced them with the new 9way adjustables with out problem.

One thing I will say is that Ive only heard of one problem with them replacing faulty shocks out of shiat loads I know with them.

Got Konis on my GQ with 2" lift and after 100,000ks on em without being adjusted, are still going like new...personally very happy with em.
So true, Ive not heard of one person UNhappy with Konis, or having problems with them.. Nick W on the patrol list has had his nearly since new, his is 89 mod with 520,000klms on it... No problems with the car at all. Has rebuilt the shocks though..


Know a few people with Ranchos and seem pretty happy but only had em for a year or so.
Im happy with the ride, just not the quality and time they lasted, mine are under 12 months old, and Ive not driven the car offroad more than 5 times in that time, and 6 months of this 12, Ive been recovering from leg operations!! So you could say 5 runs, and 6 mths they have lasted.

So true, everythin' different may suit someone elses situation better, thats why theres so many different makes and models.... Be boring if they were the same !
