What do folks think of them? Does anyone have them fitted? for the price at the moment I dont think you can beat them if they do what they claim to do.

I have them on the GQ with the 5in lift... Got an incab kit for it now too....

Wouldnt get them again.

Anyway you cant get 9000's now, they have a new 9way adjustable which is the 9000b or something like that, they ahve a new name for them.

If you want THE best, Koni, but they are $$ but also they are rebuildable!

Mate of mine went through three sets on the rear of his disco, all cheerfully replaced, then he got jack of it and put on OME's. Personally, I have Bilstein (also rebuildable) and I couldn't be happier with the ride.
Cheers ... andrew

What don't you like about the Ranchos Truckster? Seem to be a very popular shock for the "serious" modifier. Is this not justified.
Got Konis on my GQ with 2" lift and after 100,000ks on em without being adjusted, are still going like new...personally very happy with em. Know a few people with Ranchos and seem pretty happy but only had em for a year or so.

My rear shocks I think are gone, its like a pogo stick in the rear...

Ive heard of lots of them with problems, from the adjusters seizing, to blowing seals...

Jump on a few hack 4b sites and people admit they are throw away items, and most now use cheaper shocks, like Bilsteins etc..

Jason O in our club has a set of 9's, they all blew on him on a trip to the cape, they replaced them with the new 9way adjustables with out problem.

One thing I will say is that Ive only heard of one problem with them replacing faulty shocks out of shiat loads I know with them.

So true, Ive not heard of one person UNhappy with Konis, or having problems with them.. Nick W on the patrol list has had his nearly since new, his is 89 mod with 520,000klms on it... No problems with the car at all. Has rebuilt the shocks though..

Im happy with the ride, just not the quality and time they lasted, mine are under 12 months old, and Ive not driven the car offroad more than 5 times in that time, and 6 months of this 12, Ive been recovering from leg operations!! So you could say 5 runs, and 6 mths they have lasted.

They are another option if they are still available., they are just 9000's without the adjustment... They are on the equivalant to setting 3 on 9000's... You can get them adjusted I hear to harder or softer but only 1ce.

I've had 'em on my 80 series for well over 50K now.
Been all through Kimberley (GRR x2 + Kalumburu) and Pilbara. Off Road often and have had no problems whatsoever. Love the versatility of the settings which suits me down to the ground given the differing terrains encountered within each week.
Nothing wrong with Koni's either though and it's a bit like the BFG/Coopers, Nissan/Toyota debates
