To ExploreOZ team. I run a troopy with a 6.5 litre Chev diesel as I imagine a few others that view this forum. With your setup in your Trek Fuel section are you after any info from V8 diesel & petrol owners? If so I can contribute

Yes please contribute. I have already had V8 on the list but I do not profess to know every engine size that is available. Any insite is appreciated and I wil now go and add 6.5 as a capacity.

Any other I need to add to the list - The list is:
1.8 litre
2 litre
2.2 litre
2.4 litre
2.5 litre
2.6 litre
2.7 litre
2.8 litre
3 litre
3.2 litre
3.3 litre
3.5 litre
3.8 litre
4 litre
4.2 litre
4.5 litre
4.7 litre
4.8 litre

5.2 litre

and now 5.8 and 6.5 litre.

Anything else.........

You need the 1.0 1.3, 1.5 and 1.6 litre as well.

There are a substantial amount of small vechiles running around and will be more with the escalating price of fuel.

I thought people would just write the CC/Litre capacity in.

Ozi,

Yes but if people use a different format then the data us useless. I have other areas on the site asking for information such as this and even specifing examples only to find that people will still work out how to enter the data in other fashions. In this case I would expect some to use litres and other to enter cubic centimetres such as 2200 or 1800. This would make the data wrong.

So I tend to try to err on the side of easiness for the users and make db fields that I want to sort on use defined lists of entires.

Thanks for the entries I will adjust the table tomorrow.

The best way is to select the trek from the TrekSearch option on the treks menu and then use the TrekFuel button to submit your information on the selected trek.

Topcat, if you have time could you post something (probably best as a new subject) to tell us about your Troopy with the Chev Diesel. Sounds interesting

Topcat,
I'm thinking of converting my 4.2 naturally aspirated (read asthma) diesel to 6.5 turbo diesel.

1) If you were doing your conversion again, what would you do different?
2) Why naturally aspirated and not turbo?

Thanks.

I would stay with the same setup maily because of cost & extra mods to enginebay & bonnet to remove the heat.. I found the existing setup is more than sufficient for my driving needs.
