I had friends that were supposed to be going up this weekend but called the local authorities and said it is a bit wet still.
Very green and both Turon and Macalister rivers flowing. This is what it needed up there.
Would probably leave it until the rain stops but should be a good trip soon.

I was up there a couple a weeks ago. The road from Hill End to Turon causeway was pretty good as far as it normally is but the rest from causeway to Bathurst was how ya goin.
They have had a S**t load of rain since then so I dare say it would be a trip not to be taken in the commodore unless you want to practice recovery from bog holes.

I was there about 4 weeks ago, the BridleTrack is not maintained as it used to be. I went in to Hill End via Sofala and out over the Turon causeway and back to Bathurst . It really is a bit ordinary, it is getting to a stage where it really is suitable for 4x4 only. As Housey mentioned, they have had a lot of rain since. Michael.
