We bought an exdemo 1999 model Ti last year and very pleased with it, a very nice vehicle to drive. But at this stage haven't done any big trips like to the cape, csr or simpson yet, they are all 3 years away at this stage. I note Tim reply to you gave some heavy fuel usage figures, we are doing much better than that and I'm a bit of a lead foot, with around 16L/100km around town, 13L/100km on the highway 110kph, and 17L to 21L/100km towing the caravan at 90kph. Works out to avg around 15.7L/100km...overall for 18000km so far. That's inclduding about 5500km towing the 1600kg of carvan. When the wife drives she uses around 2-3L/100km less than me.
No real mods yet as we will be changing this one over in around 18 months for the new model that should be here with the 3.5L super duper donk.
But a set of PolyAir bags in the rear will be fitted to soon to help cater for the loads we put in/on the rear. I prefere to stick with orignal springs/shockers to retain the beaut original ride & height.
On the wish list for the new one will be an Auxillary fuel tank.
Enjoy your trip....
