I've had this debate with many friends of mine as i run 33in cooper st's and they run bridgestone desert duellers after all our trips out my coopers always look worse for wear than there cheapo desert duellers the only thing i can suggest is that
tyres that have a outer lug all aligned with each other ie none sticking out more than another like a cooper that has a large outer lugs every second lug doesnt bite as hard into the terrain therfore less likely to tear it off .Which only goes to show in poss 85% of all situations do we really need big chunky
tyres as my friends state .We have travelled many tracks from mud to rocks inc grimme and butchers country for eg which at the time were pretty tough and we have all got through ...
