The Weber Flame.

Submitted: Wednesday, Jan 04, 2006 at 16:40

Lone Wolf

Well, I was looking through the American Weber site, and found this little gem...

Weber Flame

I think it has some merits, especially in areas where open fires are prohibited, and the carting in of wood is difficult.

The size is quite large, and I'm not sure if it packs down any smaller.

Don't know if you can cook over it either...

I might email Weber Australia, and see if they are coming here.

You can sit in front of the fire for the evening in around 10 minutes.

Ronnie,
It's just rhyming slang. Septic is from Septic Tank rhyming with Yank.
A septic tank is a concrete tank where effluent collects and breaks down into liquid that is then removed by way of a drain or pump into a truck. They are widely used in rural areas of Oz where an automatic sewer system is used.

I wonder what they make of certain events at a well known beach recently? Civilized ?? Careful when you throw stones.

A lot of Americans have gas piped into their backyard so they can 'plug-in' gas appliances eg. bbq's, gas lamps etc. Also bugs can make it almost impossible to sit outside and enjoy a campfire. Many people have a small gazebo with total surrounding insect screens. This little gas 'camp fire' would be handy in those indoor / outdoor situations. You think a few flies can be a nuisance? You aint seen nothing till you see them biting hoards that can hit you at night in some places in the US of A !!

The emailed reply from Weber Australia.....

Hi Ian.

Thanks for your email. We are hoping to gain Australian Gas Association
Approval for the product ASAP. As I'm sure you can understand, this can
sometimes be a long and winding process, so it may take some time...

Sorry I can't be of more help!
