Custom front seats for new GU Patrol

Submitted: Thursday, Jan 05, 2006 at 12:58

Michael ( Moss Vale NSW)

Hi All, Has anyone purchased custom seats for a GU Patrol, Although the standard ones are not particulary comfortable, i am really looking for something a little thinnerin the back rest so as to get a little more pedal room. Maybe someone has had the seat frame modified, i could do this myself i guess but would need to be approved by a Motor engineer.I have put up with this for 7 years over 2 vehicles and want to fix for the new Ugly Box Patrol in May. thanks Michael

Michael,
Im looking to do the same, got onto Stratos seats, they have some commercial models which look OK, they also have suspended model but it takes up room.
I think the guy suggested the XT or commercial models.
Fair bit of money if I recall. ~ $700 ea
Used to be a common upgrade in 75 series utes around country areas
They have an OK web site.

Hi Michael, I have the Aerotech 4 x 4 in my 2000 model ,you sit a bit lower also more leg room, previously had them in FJ 45, bought 2 mounts from Aerotech & transplanted to the Nissan. We have found that an air cushion with a couple of puffs of air is good for the rear end on long trips.
