We stored a very large motorhome (the size of a semi trailer) at Hidden Valley Caravan Park, Weaber Plains Road in
Kununurra for $2 per night in May 2004. The normal storage place (several kms out of town, can't rember their name) initially wanted $5 per day then changed their mind to $10 per day because of the car trailer. We didn't feel like being ripped off. Can't vouch for the prices now at Hidden Valley, but I would be surprised if they had changed. One of the best caravan parks in
Australia (and we have seen a lot of it) is the Ivanhoe Village Caravan Resort (corner Coolibah and Ivanhoe Roads). It is quite new, beautiful gardens, sealed roads, lawn everywhere, loads of shade, fantastic camp kitchen (with a big oven) and only a dollar or so more than other parks in
Kununurra. We strongly recommend it.
Spend as time as possible on the
Gibb River Road. There are many gorges to see and they are all great. It is one of the prettiest regions in
Australia.
