Has any one been over the Tom Groggin Track lately ? Is it open from Tom Groggin Station through to the Mount Hope Road ?

I am going up there next week.

How is the condition of the Davis Plain Track ? . I have not been up there for two years

Thanks in anticipation

We travelled from Tom Groggin up across Davies Plain 3 weeks ago, absolutely no probs, dry and dusty, Murray was about 350mm deep and flowing well.
We returned to NSW via the Mt Hope Rd and Tom Groggin track a week or so ago, again no problems, took 2 hours from Omeo to Tom Groggin, 2wd to the top of the last ridge and then low range down to Tom Groggin. There had been a day's rain between the two trips so not as dusty along Mt Hope and Tom Groggin track.
We were a single vehicle and the Murray was about the same depth as 10 days earlier.
We were amazed that in a fortnights touring around the Vic High Country we hardly saw any other vehicles and only shared one campsite with anyone else. Sometimes we would go for 2 or 3 days without seeing another vehicle even when on the well travelled routes especially as we were on the move every day.

T2 it seems high country numbers are down in some places probably due to the high fire risk & large amount of timber on the tracks.

we saw bugger people. Not complaining though. The timber down is a pain in the behind but more of an issue on the lesser used tracks.
