We travelled from
Tom Groggin up across Davies Plain 3 weeks ago, absolutely no probs, dry and dusty, Murray was about 350mm deep and flowing well.
We returned to NSW via the Mt Hope Rd and
Tom Groggin track a week or so ago, again no problems, took 2 hours from Omeo to
Tom Groggin, 2wd to the top of the last ridge and then low range down to
Tom Groggin. There had been a day's rain between the two trips so not as dusty along Mt Hope and
Tom Groggin track.
We were a single vehicle and the Murray was about the same depth as 10 days earlier.
We were amazed that in a fortnights touring around the
Vic High Country we hardly saw any other vehicles and only shared one campsite with anyone else. Sometimes we would go for 2 or 3 days without seeing another vehicle even when on the well travelled routes especially as we were on the move every day.
