Flojet shower pump

Hi,

Has anyone found a cheaper alternative to the Flojet pump range?? Intend setting up a shower pump under the camper and am sick of replacing the cheap 12 volt shower pumps. The Flojet are good quality but a tad expensive.

The two that spring to mind are the Flow Jet and the Sure Flow, both around the same price but work well as a shower pump.

I prefer the Flow jet as I use one on a spray tank for spot spraying and one for the water pump on the camper as well as one for a shower, all work really well.

Cant for the life of me remember the name however, They are available from Camping/Caravan Shows. They have a full range (from the bigger suckers to little ones) , and probably Chinese imports (just a guess). They are priced a heap cheaper then the Flowjet etc alternatives.

I bought a little one for the CT kitchen (only a couple of litres per minute), and cost me $50.

I'll see if I can dig up a name for them.

There's a lot of cross over products that suit campers/4WD in boating stores.

Whitworths for example have a Rule 800 GPH 12V Bilge Pump for $60, or a Rule 360 GPH 12V Bilge Pump for $27. Either should keep you wet :-)

Can't tell from the specs but I'm guessing it has a pressure switch, does it??? Don't want to put in water proof switches so definitely want the unit to switch off when tap is turned off.

Watch the flow rate - I have a SurFlow which is 12 lpm - I wouldn't want anything less..

Some of the above are also 12 lpm at a cheaper price, so may be a good buy..

Some of them are only 4lpm - beware unless you only have a small back to wash ;-)
