We hire our Codan radio in a box for several reasons. There are no holes to drill in new vehicles and no cables to run. When you need the radio your vehicle will be stationary. Few newbies want or have the skills necessary to play radio on the go. You're far too busy concentrating on the track (or you should be). We supply a whip aerial that you just attach the lead to, no worrying about bits of wire and tuning. And the box means it can easily be stored out of the cabin area.
We also have the portables but recommend them if you're staying put for a while.
We're on the Gold Coast/
Brisbane and if you can hire the same gear at a cheaper price or hire for extended periods or get better service please let me know :))
