Why should I take my watch off ????

I've noticed at the top of a few Threads on this Forum the warning "Remove watch".

Now I thought I knew a fair bit about technology, but I just can't figure out why it's important to take my watch off when reading certain threads. It must be a serious issue, since the warnings are in RED.

Thinking about it more, what really worries me, is HOW THE HELL DOES DAVID EVEN KNOW I'M WEARING A WATCH NOW ?????

I need to know the answer TODAY.

David installs a virtual watch on your wrist though his server. You cannot see it coz it is only a thread watch - and a very fine thread at that. The removal tool is excellent.

Look at your watch each time you sit and turn on the puter....watch the second hand..see it fluctuate?..feel that slight warmth in your wrist?....don't look at the watch too closely...tends to affect the eyes!!.....is it just a myth..or is it? hmmmm....

Not being a member anymore, but i think it could the THREAD WATCH option when on it says REMOVE WATCH maybe, if ON.

After 4 years on the site I just realised that if you click on the thread watch thingy it changes to change watch thingy .
still dont know what either thingy does

You can, at your member home page, "View Watched Threads" so if you want to keep up on the latest and greatest in shoelaces for example you can do that, also if you go away for a while you can easily catch up on those not to be unwatched threads.

Its more to do with the thread than the watch, the watch is a furphy. I watched a watch once and it disappeared, almost like two negatives equalling a positive.

David knows because David is, or at least he was when he used to be or is as he was to be. Watch this space.
