OziExplorer GPS reciver compatability

Just a quick question, does anyone know if the GM270U+ Ultra CF Card GPS Receiver in the ExplorOz shop is compatible with OziExplorer software?
I noticed in the configiration section in the Ozi software you can choose what brand of GPS you have, but does not guarantee the other brands of recievers will work.

Hello - I have no doubt it will work - I use Holux GM-270....works fine (with OziCE on Ipaq 2210 PDA). No reason for the GM-270U not to work. CF gps units just out put standard NMEA data string..which is all OziExplore needs for moving map use. In configuration (GPS section) of the PC version you dont need to specify brand.....just select "NMEA only" (if you plan on using CF card GPS via laptop for example). In CE version on PDA just select appropriate port from which NMEA data is coming from...CF card GPS should show up as CF_Card-Generic-DDEA in Configuration NMEA (GPS) section (well it does for me - COM port 7).

Thanks for the info, have the Ozi CE on PDA with the Navman sleeve which works good, but have just bought a laptop and installed Ozi onto it. Just wanted to know if the CF reciever would work before ordering one.
Cheers.
