OK Guys I had my battery tested today and it is stuffed. It has dropped one cell.
Guess I need to get a new one, what would people recommend? I would like one that is capable of running a fridge etc for future use.
Keep the suggestions/recommendations coming.

Agm's are the best battery at the moment.

Size could be a problem, is it going into a 4 runner.

Is it a case of AGM's being the best value or the best battery. I am hearing that Gel Batteries have some strong advantages over AGM, but are usually dearer..? I was at Batteryworld today and was intent on buying AGM's for a Big Boat application, however they advised me that the Gels would be better suited. Application was simply house electronics and some starting. I was told the Gel's are more suited to high cyclic applications.

All depends on the charge rate and how far you discharge the unit.

Some gel batteries will not fast charge and can be damaged.

I've always been a fan of Delkor Calcium batteries. For some reason my 4WD has never started better or as quick.

I am looking for one to put under my bonnet of the Jackaroo. The biggest I can fit is 80AH NZ770? About 300mm long and should run my Engel for about 24 hours sitting. $220.00 is the quoted price for this battery

Are you talking about N70ZZ, if so they are only about $100. I run either two N70ZZ or N70EX ($85) , both 80ah and I'm happy. Rus
