What you are trying to do, does not seem to make sense to me and is also a convoluted way of doing things.

I keep my diary in Word format, my expenses in Excel and my photo's/video on DVD. I use Sonic My DVD which allows me to combine photo's and video. It allows me to design my own front end menu, just like a bought DVD, and I can also use background music if necessary. The program allows me to add an extra narrative track, but I just have not tried it yet.

I have found that my friends are only interested in seeing the photo's/video's and I just give my own narrative when watching. I am the only one interested in my diary and can just refer to it at anytime on my computer.

I find the way I do it to suit me, and as I said, that is just my opinion.

Thanks I see were your coming from. The reason for me wanting to do this is that my parents don't have a computer but do have a DVD player, hence the reason. I will be able to send them cd's on the way of our trip.

These are not the only programs that will do this for you, they are just the first 2 I found using a simple Google search asking specific questions like "how do i convert Word documents to JPEG" and "how do I convert JPEG to DVD"

All I can say is give them a go. You may have to pay for the programs, however, if you are internet savvy, there are ways of getting them for nothing in most cases, but for obvious reasons, I wont go into how on a public forum.

Is that software still going? Used it many years ago and it was absolute magic for virtually any application you could think of. The search engine then was a screamer. Thanks for reminding me, I'll have to check it out.
