Bobthe...

Hi everyone, travelling accross the Simpson in late May,I would like to know if there is any water in eyre creek at all?Last time I crossed the desert I had to detour at eyre creek, due to flooding, when I reached the area of the next crossing,I found an abundance of water, birdlife, wildlife, that part of the desert was in full bloom, just awesome!

Any idea on what the walkers crossing track is like at the moment (Innamincka to Bville) or should be like next week with this expected water?

Bobthe, no water in Eyre Creek (on the detour) - you should be safe there. No blossoms, no wildlife - dry as chips, absolutely no rain.
Walkers Crossing - still dry for next week - although the water is rising slowly at the causeway at Innamincka.

Re - Walkers Crossing - I put a Post up last week with phone numbers in Innamincka for the Pub and Trading Post - for people to ring and ask direct about how much water was on the causeway. Sorry don't know what the Post No was and bit short of time right now. Search should pick it up.
