tyres for lada niva

does anyone know what tyres i can fit to my lada niva which has the standard 16" rims and where can i buy these tyres,thanks rob

My son-in-law has a set of 15 inch rims he took off his Niva before he sold it last year sitting at home with nearly new Silverstones on it. Don't know what he wants for them.

I think the rims originally came off a kia sportage.

I think I had 205/70 x 16's on my Lada, long time ago though. I loved that truck but did not change the timing chain and it let go and puff no motor no more. Great truck if you know all their little idiosyncrrasies.

Unusual for a chain to let go.Years ago chains were it and never gave any trouble.I had FC and EK Holdens AND THE Timing Chains never entered your head, Now we all worry about belts.

I think if you "hotted" them up you had to fit alloy gears, as the fbre ones disintegrated.

I just thought the grey motors had fibroloc timing cogs same as the red motors. never to old to learn

Look mate really I would not have the faintest idea what they had , I just presumed it was a chain, just use to drive it and never had troubles with it until i traded it on a Series II Landrover Wagon petrol, 55mph flat out..lol
I must add the Holden had a 9.5 Gal fuel tank but mine was so bashed, pelted with stones it would only hold 8 gallons then one day I was parked in White St Waikerie and when I returned to the car Petrol was leaking out all under the car , just as well no one flicked a match ,so went to a wreckers and got another one .
I might search the web and see if I can find some specs on the old grey 130 motor
