Conversitions ,Kg to Ton/Pounds

Can anyone convert these figure's form Kg,s to Ton's and pounds please . Being of the old school , I mite be able to understand them better . 3360 kG , 2860Kg and 446Kg . Trying to work out what things whigh on my traytop . Thanks in advance . Errol

Errol,

3360 kg = 7407.5 lbs = 3.3 ton
2860 kg = 6305.2 lbs = 2.8 ton
446 kg = 983.3 lbs = 0.4 ton

All approximate and if my failing memory serves me right ( 2240 lbs = 1 ton )

Errol - a handy thing to remember is that one metric tonne is very nearly the same as an Imperial (English) ton - so 3360Kg will be 3.36 English tons and 1000Kg = 1 metric tonne - easy :)

Pocket computers are grat for those sort of little conversions Errol, just thai need to convert myself to the newer Windows ones from the older Palm Operations systems. I have YAUK on the Sony Clié which does all sorts of wondereous things that seem unmatched on the Dell....

Good to see you made it back to york, complete with tray top!!!
we had to wait a week in birdsville for the rims too arrive (only 3 could fit on the first mail run!!)
Finally moved north and we are now relaxing in cairns for a week or so.
Keep us posted with the tray mods

A WEEK IN BIRDSVILLE ! What did you do with yourselves for that long ? Finished all the repair's to day , it wont brake again . Box weighed 448 Kg empty , tray 338 Kg . Too much weight . So , new ally tray and new ally box , ouch ! But if we want to keep doing this , it's got to be dun . Hope to have the tray next Friday , then comes the box . Hopefully back out camping in about 4 to 5 weeks . Jan & Errol

2204.6 lb to tonne (metric)
2240 lb to ton (imperial)

There is no such thing as a "metric" mandarine but there is an imperial mandarine.
You can't measure peoples performance by "imperials", only metrics.

Go figure..............
