Gunbarrel - Connie Sue Conditions

Hi people
We leave on Saturday to do the Gunbarrel Hwy from Wiluna to Yulara, and have been told that there has been some rain and that the area is pretty so0dden. Has anybody done the trip in the past week or so who can give us some advice? We also intend doing the Connie Sue Hwy trip (see trip notes elsewhere) the following week. same deal - anybody who can give us some idea of the current conditions of that track.
Incidentally, Diesel prices as at Thursday 29th June
carnegeie Station $2, Wiluna $1.65, Warburton $1.85, Warakurna (Giles) $1.80, and Yulara about $1.65 (couldn't give me prices on the phone, but when I read the other prices out, intimated that the Wiluna price was similar)
