I bought a Map 330 last year and work it in conjunction with my Notebook and Ozieplorer software. I am happy with it and will probably take another lifetime to learn all the features. I bought a bracket holder with the 330 and a serial port attachment for the Notebook. The base price for my unit was around $800. Then I ordered my Notebook over the internet and it came without a serial port...so I had to buy another connector from Jaycar( serial port to USB).
My Map 330's software crashed after 1 month of use and Magellan replaced it with a completely new unit within a week( I had to send it to Perth).
I especially like the speed tracking function as an extra device to help me stay under the speed limit(especially in Victoria). Cheers,W

Hi Diamond

I just spent the day in the mountains near wauchope with my sons 315 and had a great time in the bush,
the only disadvantage was that my wife was navigator and kept me informed of my speed(continuosly).
I now have permission to buy one but now WHICH ONE.
Thankyou
