Not a bad inland trip starting west of Grafton and coming out at Murwillumbah.

A bit of mild 4WD along the Sportsmans Creek Trail. Great views from the Cambridge Plateau, along with a couple of camping spots, one good one at Peacock Creek.

Beats the Pacific Hwy any day.

savvas,
no beach driving between byron and tweed, north of lennox head - short stretch also a few good runs south of ballina.4wding in this area getting a bit thin, whiam whiam and mebbin state forrests have some nice day drives, also each has a top camping area.
