GU

Can anyone tell me where I may be able to purchase a TPMS that covers up to 10 tyres. I live in Melbourne.

Have you tried "googling" for tyre (tire?) pressure monitors?

Seen one that can handle up to 22 tyres, designed for heavy vehicles etc. Sure they had a web site, just can't remember it at the moment, distributor was based in Queensland

Hope this helps

Yes , I am using the Smart tire system from Autron in Melbourne - does op to 22 tyres with trailer tyre monitoring also .
Works very well and has saved at least 3 tyres from shredding so far . The readings are accurate to 1.5 psi .
Proved invaluable when completely offroad staking tyres every day . Even indicated a slow leak when we were driving on sand at 12psi which I would not have detected from the driver's seat .
After travelling approx. 11000kms. and 10 staked tyres which are all still in use , I can recomend this system . No , I am not affiliated with the makers .
Cheers

Thanks for the response _fourplayfull.
I will contact the boys from Autron, whom I'm familiar with after getting them to fit a cruise control to my car some time ago. That work was excellent so I'll catch up with them and get the goss on the Smart tire system.
Thanks again and happy motoring. GU

Try www.outbackaccessories.com
They have Sensatyre kits more accurate and batteries last longer than Autron.

When I approached Sensa Tyre they did not have a reliable trailer monitor (their words) which is a priority for me . The HF , UHF and sat phone also interferred with their readings according to this sites archives .
They say Autron's batteries are good for 5 years - guess I will have to wait to prove that one . At the moment this system is flawless - so good to check pressures & temperature build up when travelling loaded on dirt roads with lower tyre settings .

I have been told it takes the Autron 5 minutes to alert you of a fault once detected do you know if this is correct?

In my experience the alarms sound immediately the pressure drops below the programmed differential or the min . default reading which is all user set as you want .
Eg . driving on sand at 14 psi with min default pressure set at 10psi pulled up to check out old oil well maintenance area for 30 mins or so , changed drivers travelled .5 km when alarm indicated left front dropping pressure - found a metal spike stuck in sidewall . There was no way We could detect a 4 psi drop from the driver's seat on sand .
During sensor set up the pressure is dropped so the monitor learns where each tyre is and I have noticed an immediate alarm .
It just WORKS so well .
